A great source of looking at inflation data is the Cleveland Fed’s Inflation expectations website. This is a calculation based on what the bond market thinks about future inflation. They release this data once a month and I am sure this is a data point that the Fed looks at when setting monetary policy. As the latest release shows, the market expects 10 year inflation to average around 1.94%.
